the model is to be featured on any of the above.
Restrictions On A Model:
A special fee will be negotiated when the work is in connection with a
product which precludes work for competing products. It is the client's
responsibility to check product bookings with the agency or model regarding
conflicts. If a model advertises a product he/she is able to work for any
competitor unless an exclusion fee is negotiated.
TV and Film Regulations:
The booking and wage scale for actors and actresses is largely controlled
through bargaining agreements reached by various unions in negotiation
with producers. These agreements normally control the minimum salaries,
hours of work permitted per week, and other conditions of employment. Actors'
Equity Association represents actors and actresses who work in the
legitimate theatre; the Screen Actors' Guild and the Screen Extras
Guild represent those who work in motion pictures or film television
and television commercials; and the American Federation of Television
and Radio Artists represents those who work in television or radio.
In addition, each artist enters into a separate contract that may provide
for higher salaries. |
