INTERNATIONAL MODELING GUIDE
MY Entertainment WORLD
Agency Policy Regarding Rates and Rules
The models, actors, actresses vouchers must be signed by the client / photographer / casting director at the time of booking. This same rule pertains to model/actor releases as well.

The working day (photography): Normal hours for a day's booking are between 0900 and 1800 hours. A day's work is 8 hours and include the lunch break. The minimum booking is 2 hours.

Overtime:

1. The overtime rate is one and one-half times the normal hourly rate between 1800 and 2400 hours.

2. A special rate is negotiated for night work between 2400 and 0900 hours.

3. Work on Saturday is one and done-half times the normal rate.

4. Work on Sunday is double the normal rate.

Travel Rates: Travel time will be charged at 50 percent of the hourly rate. This applies to travel outside a five-mile radius of the agency you are listed with, or your home town.

Location Booking: At the time of a location booking, clients must provide information about available transportation and be responsible for models' meals on all bookings.

Cancellations: If a booking is cancelled within one working day of the starting time the full fee is charged unless the model is re-booked within 24 hours. In such a case half the fee will be charged. If a booking is cancelled outside the one-day period but within two working days of the starting time, then half the fee will be charged.

Weather-Permitting Bookings: First cancellation is paid at half fee; second cancellation at full fee.

Provisional Bookings: Provisional bookings will be automatically cancelled if they are not confirmed within 24 hours of the proposed booking, or if a definite booking is offered and provisional cannot be confirmed.

Fittings and Hairdressing Fees: Fees to be a minimum of 50% percent of the hourly rate.

Test and Experimental Shooting: Models may not sign a photographic release and photographers may not use pictures for commercial purposes unless you (or your agent) has made specific arrangements prior to the shooting.

Usage: An additional rate is payable for any other use of the photographs, or reproductions or adaptations thereof, of drawings therefrom, either complete or in part, alone or in conjunction with any wording or drawings, other than the permitted use. Unless otherwise agreed, the "permitted use" is for editorial, experimental or press advertising and excludes posters, packing, display material and record covers. It is not permitted to use photographs for any purpose whatsoever until all fees have been paid.

Poster and Showcard Fee: Packs, books and record covers and any other display material, etc. carry an additional rate payable for each category. Such additional rate is negotiated at the time of the booking. Rates for all foreign materials are to be negotiated. It is the client's responsibility to inform the model or the agency if the model is to be featured on any of the above.

Restrictions On A Model: A special fee will be negotiated when the work is in connection with a product which precludes work for competing products. It is the client's responsibility to check product bookings with the agency or model regarding conflicts. If a model advertises a product he/she is able to work for any competitor unless an exclusion fee is negotiated.

TV and Film Regulations: The booking and wage scale for actors and actresses is largely controlled through bargaining agreements reached by various unions in negotiation with producers. These agreements normally control the minimum salaries, hours of work permitted per week, and other conditions of employment. Actors' Equity Association represents actors and actresses who work in the legitimate theatre; the Screen Actors' Guild and the Screen Extras Guild represent those who work in motion pictures or film television and television commercials; and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists represents those who work in television or radio. In addition, each artist enters into a separate contract that may provide for higher salaries.
