· If
you shoot black and white or color, the photographer will want to keep
the negatives and give you a contact sheet. That way you'll have to keep
going back to the photographer for prints.
· With
slides, they belong to you and the photographer can't keep them.
· If
you sign an agreement with a photographer, make sure your contract reads
that you want all work done on slides and the model is entitled to the
slides and the photographer cannot hold any. If the photographer likes
a particular slide or two and wants to retain them for his book, allow
him to use that picture for a fee.
