or booking, tell the receptionist very politely. They may schedule your
interview sooner
(8.) When you sit down for the
interview, do not immediately hand over your portfolio unless asked for
it. Let the interviewer take the lead
(9.) If the interviewer leaves
the room, do not stand impatiently or wander around
(10.) Your audition begins the
moment you enter the room
(11.) Deal with mistakes with
humor
(12.) Mentally bring the camera
to you when you look at it
(13.) Always be ready to reverse
roles
(14.) Don't end an audition with
a freeze frame
(15.) Never direct the other
actor or model, even if his/her performance is awful
(16.) Make sure you know about
dress requirements for the audition
(17.) Identify the individuals
who are directing, assisting, etc. and know their names
(18.) Ask for the correct address,
directions, and parking specifics as well as building or studio access
regulations or instructions
(19.) Have your portfolio, head
shot, resume, and tote-bag with you
(20.) After the audition, write
down the names of the people who saws your audition and post it to your
files for future reference.
Remember, an interview can last thirty seconds
or thirty minutes. You should not take the interviewer's comments personally.
Meet the interviewer politely, and when you feel the interview has come
to an end, smile graciously, say "thank you"
and leave the room. If the interviewer asks for your composite, leave one. |
