Deluxe Postproduction is
recruiting for an experienced QC Operator to work in our rapidly evolving
QC department. This is a key role in the quality control of encoded file
and videotape content for distribution to the leading content outlets in
broadcast, VOD, and digital media platforms. The QC Operator works as part
of a team to ensure accuracy and consistency, adhering to the strict guidelines
adopted by the department.
The position requires an
individual with a high degree of knowledge regarding digital media, including
various codecs, compression techniques and professional file formats. Strong
technical and organizational skills are a must. Experience operating SD
& HD videotape equipment is an asset.
Deluxe Postproduction is
a high-definition postproduction and media services facility in downtown
Toronto for the television and feature film industries. The QC department
is a key part of our Media Services operation, operating 24 hours a day.

part of our modeling team, creating visually captivating character and

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
· Create and texture
geometry consistent with production designs

models
· Create and maintain

Telephony and Unified Communications
- Media Technology Services is accountable for the development and evolution
for all aspects of wire-line and wireless network technologies at CBC/Radio-Canada.
It has a leadership role to move the enterprise to a more efficient future
of integrated, IP-based, unified communications.
We are seeking candidates
for a full time and permanent position of Senior Systems Engineer - Telephony
and Unified Communications.
Under the leadership of the
Director, you will be responsible for conceiving, developing, evaluating
and managing projects involving systems or services leading to the gradual
rollout of unified communications (UC) with advanced telephony features
and capabilities on an Avaya Aura next generation architecture.
You will ensure proper integration
into the existing LAN/WAN infrastructure across the Corporation. You will
also advise and provide first-line technical support at all phases of implementation
and operation as required.
The CBC/Radio-Canada telephony
infrastructure is IP-enabled and entirely built on Avaya (formally Nortel)
equipment. The definition and configuration of the UC architecture and
elements requires a complex migration of the current PBX infrastructure
to a new Avaya-Aura IP/SIP environment integrated into the existing LAN/WAN
networks primarily built on Cisco equipment.
We are looking for a candidate
with the following:
· University degree
in engineering or computer science with specialization in telecommunications
or the equivalent;
· Five (5) to seven
(7) years' experience in Project Management in Telecommunications - IP
networks - Unified Communications - Advanced telephony services;
· Experience in team
management, supervision and coordination;
· Professional Engineer
certification an asset;
· Sound knowledge
and understanding of IP engineering concepts, more specifically QoS and
SIP protocol;
· Integration of Wireless
mobility to an enterprise VoIP environment using Wi-Fi or Telco connectivity;

bilingualism (French and English);
